José Andrés is a chef, restaurateur, television personality, speaker, teacher and author. Chef/owner of ThinkFoodGroup, he was named Outstanding Chef in 2011 and Best Chef: Mid Atlantic in 2003 by the James Beard Foundation. He is the author of several cookbooks and has starred in televesion series both in the U.S. and Spain. Spain’s Ministry of Culture recognized him with the Order of Arts and Letter medallion for his efforts to promote Spanish culture abroad. He is the founder of World Central Kitchen, culinary ambassador for the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves and chairman emeritus for DC Central Kitchen. He teaches at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as part of the course “Science and Cooking.”
