A new solution to cork taint is about to hit the market. It's called Vino-Lok and is designed to be more appealing to consumers than screw caps.
The glass stopper with a liner similar to a screw cap imparts no taste to the wine and prevents deterioration. An aluminum cover secures the stopper to a specially designed wine bottle.
Once large-scale production begins, look for the stoppers on mid- to high-quality wines.
