Last fall, we were invited to record at the Hot Docs Podcast Festival in Toronto. We thought it would be a good chance to take a look at how Toronto, and Canada, eat. Our first guest was Matty Matheson, a guy who went from being a restaurant cook to being a chef to being someone who literally has a music festival named after him. A big part of the reason for that transformation is that people love him (which is apparent at the start of our interview audio) and his many online food shows including his latest, Just a Dash. Matty joined Francis Lam on stage at Hot Docs Podcast Festival to dig into the cuisine of Canada.
Matty Matheson is the author of the New York Times bestselling cookbook, Matty Matheson: a Cookbook. Try his recipe for Rappie Pie, which he mentions in the interview.
